Our Story

True North Financial was founded on the principles of integrity, transparency, and a deep commitment to client well-being. Our journey began in 2006 when Ty Vogele started his financial career at Merrill Lynch. At Merrill Lynch, Ty joined a group that worked with high-net-worth clients and learned the value of building a team focused on client needs.

In 2014, driven by a desire to prioritize his clients' interests and offer more personalized, cost-effective services, Ty made the decision to transition to an Independent Investment Advisory practice. This move was fueled by his discomfort with the influence of large banks on financial advisors' decision-making and his unwavering commitment to doing what's right for his clients.

In 2015, Ty joined forces with Ryan Wittman to establish True North Financial. Together, they have built an organization that is not only dedicated to exceptional client service but also deeply involved in the community and steadfast in making responsible decisions.

Over the years, True North Financial has experienced significant growth in total number of clients, assets managed, and team size, yet our core values have remained unchanged. We continue to treat our clients like family, ensuring that every decision we make is aligned with their personal goals and situation.
